After graduating Coral Gables HS, I attended Rensselear Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. What a change from growing up in Miami. I received a degree in Physics in June 1971 and got married the day after graduation. I did graduate work in Nuclear Engineering and went to work in the civilian nuclear power industry.

I worked for Tennessee Valley Authority for ten years in a variety of jobs. When I left the company, I was Supervisor, Pre-Operational Testing. Playing around with a $1B tinker-toy was the most fun job I ever had, but the 18-hour days, 6 or 7 days a week get old after a while. After I left TVA, I moved up to Connecticut and went to work for Northeast Utilities.

After having gone up to Yankee-land to college, why would I ever go back you ask? Well, let's just say we live 4 miles from my wife's mother and just around the corner from one of her sisters. Again, I have held a variety of jobs during my stay up here. Right now I am the Licensing Lead on a project to renew the operating licenses to Millstone Unit 2 and Unit 3 for another 20 years.

My wife Susan and I have been married since that day after graduation more than 32 years ago. We have four children, all of whom have completed college for the first time. Two of our children are still in college getting advanced degrees. We also have one granddaughter, who is 3 years old.
