After
graduating from Coral Gables High in 1964 I graduated from the Virginia Military
Institute in Lexington, Virginia with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1968.
Then I worked for GE for a half year until I got drafted into the Army where I
fixed crypto equipment in Vietnam and Germany. I was working evenings in the
Frankfurt Audio Club when I met Dr. Bose (Bose speakers), and after getting out
of the Army I moved to Atlanta and became the first Bose rep in the southeast.
I eventually became SE Regional Sales Manager for Bose until I got bored with
that. Then I moved to Utah for 9 months as Sales Manager of a small manufacturing
company, then moved back to Atlanta where I've been self employed ever since.
In 1984 I got a ham radio license (N4LCD) and have been an active ham ever since,
getting the Extra Class license a year ago. For the last 12 years I've
been trading stocks and daytrading futures. For the last 9 years I've also been
teaching others how to daytrade E-Mini S&P futures and now have 3 instructors
helping me out. I work out of my home office. My first wife, Judy, and
I had 4 daughters and my oldest daughter works for me. I have one grandchild on
the way. My wife, Lydia, has 2 daughters, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
So we stay pretty busy. I also do free PA System design, updates, debugging,
and training for churches. We're both very active in a small Pentecostal church.
I recently found out that Howie Thickman is also a ham radio operator and we got
together in Chattanooga. I live between Atlanta and Chattanooga in Cartersville,
Georgia. Paul Quillen, N4LCD 35 Alex Drive NW Cartersville,
