I
am grateful for the men and women who sponsored our ship and for the my fellow
shipmates. I had a great time. After finishing high school in Miami I moved
to Atlanta Georgia. There I entered the Air Force as an aircraft electrician from
1965 to 1969. I served in southeast Asia and Minot North Dakota. I returned to
Miami after my enlistment and went to Miami-Dade Community college for one year.
From there I went to Florida Bible College, studied theology, and met my wife
Charity. We both graduated in 1974 with a BA in Biblical studies. I was ordained
and have since served as a Bible Institute teacher, pastor, church planter, and
prison minister. I have always supported my family and ministries as an
electrical contractor. We moved to Roswell, Georgia in 1988. We have seven
children and two grandchildren. Charity and I went back to seminary and both
finished with a MA in counseling in 2005. Charity also graduated from law school
in 1999. Our youngest child is 13. The others are grown. We home schooled all
seven of our children. Five > have finished college, two from law school, one
an MA in professional writing, one a BA in psychology, an one a BA in economics.
The other opted to get married and have kids. We had nine children. Two passed
away, one at birth and one at 1 1/2 years of age.
Its been quite a
journey and time has passed so quickly as I am sure it has for all of you. My
prayer is that you will be blessed and find hope and security in the Lord Jesus
our Savior. My favorite and most assuring Bible verse is Ephesians 2:8-9.
( For by grace you have
been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
not a result of works, so that no one may boast. )
