( Dave to all )

I will never forget the time atnight just after passing the Rickenbacker Bridge southbound on the GREBE "SEASCOUT" when Doug Quillen called the bridge requesting an ok so his team of engineers could do a valve job on one of the Packard engines.

He was aware that it would be best if we had 2 engines with which to operate in Biscayne especially with the central Featherbead Banks 3 hours away and our draft of 6 feet. I couldn't believe it when Doug and his team completed the the valve job, cranked up the engine and wow we really noticed the difference topside with the steering and additional speed through the water.

Doug really offered his experience, care and concern for the scouts in amost personal manner. He was one of the best Scout Leaders I have ever seen during my entire time working with Scouts.....Gotta go for now...
