After Troop 37, I attended Coral Gables High for 1
year and then graduated from Pompano Beach Senior High in 1961. I
graduated from the University of Florida with a BA in History in 1965
and an MEd in Guidance and Counseling in 1966. I also attended the
University of Colorado-Denver (public administration), Georgia State
University (geography and environmental studies), University of Maryland
(animal science) and received a BS degree from South Dakota State
University (animal science). My working career included 30 years with
the Federal government with the US Department of Health, Education
and Welfare, Office of Emergency Preparedness, US Civil Service Commission,
and US Department of Agriculture. I retired in 1999 and now live on
a small farm in northwest Pennsylvania. I am married and have a son
and daughter.
My interests include farming, gardening, livestock raising, historical
reenacting, and a wide range of arts and crafts. I have had a few
articles I wrote published in American deer hunter, Muzzleloader,
and Muzzle Blasts magazines. I have also self-published a collection
of science fiction parodies and general writings and poems.
My brother Ken did not mention it, but he is currently enrolled at
Wright State University with a major in art. He has had photographs
selected for display in an Ohio statewide exhibition and has completed
a large number of excellent paintings . |
