Since I left the group - I attended the US Merchant
Marine Academy, graduated in '65 and sailed 2nd and 3rd mate for
a while - about half the time to Vietnam and the other half to more
fun places.
Came ashore and changed occupations to an obscure part of the
insurance industry (surety) where I spent the bulk of my working
life both in the primary and reinsurance sides. My career took me
from Miami to New York to Hartford to Kansas City to Hartford (again).
Retired in 2000 and moved back to FL (North Port) where I have
been since. I stayed in the Navy Reserve for 28 years after graduation
and retired from that as a captain.
I've been married for 44 years (can barely remember being single),
have 2 children - one of each - and 3 (so far) grandchildren.
